Campaign Photography is an mix of photojournalism/documentary photography and promotional work. On one way is to produce lots of images that make it look effective and is usually about "anti" campaigns.
Number 5 is my favourite photograph because it shows that the person is stuck to smoking and that there's only one way to get away but it will be very difficult to achieve. The way the handcuffs are attached to the arm shows how bad it is. Number 6 is my least favourite photograph because it just looks too plain to be convincing. Also because it hasn't shown the effects of drinking.
Number 6 is my favourite photograph because it shows the person that is being bullied and the words that people are saying to her that she is unable to speak about what's going on. Number 4 is my least favourite photograph because you can't read the words on their skin.
Anti-Bullying
Anti-bullying is a campaign to try and stop bullying from happening. Photographs are used to create posters that show different types of bullying. Below are examples of these photographs.
My favourite photograph is numbers 1+2 because they both show the result/effect on the people who are being bullied. My least favourite is number 6 because it isn't really effective with just words on hand's.
Domestic Abuse
Domestic abuse is a campaign to show what domestic abuse.
Number 5 is my favourite photograph because it's showing that she can't tell anyone what's going on or listen to help she might be given by someone. Number 1 is my least favourite photograph because you cant see any emotion or proof of being abused, there is only a person with their hands on their face with "help me".
Shoot Plan 1
I got the inspiration from number 1 and number 6 under the 'Anti-Bullying' section above. I am planning my shoot around anti-bullying. Within my shoot I am planning on having a person sat on the floor with their head down with post sticks notes on their arm's, leg's and head with mean words/phrases on and they are in black and white. I will take the photograph in a corner of a room. I will also have a second person acting like they are checking if the person is okay, they will be taking the post sticks off.
My First Attempt At My Shoot.
What went well: I think where Liam was sat in the corner of a room that has nothing on it showed some emotion of a blank background. I think the way Liam is sitting makes it look even more effective. What didn't go well: You can't read the post sticks clearly and I should have used more post it notes.
My Second Attempt At My Shoot.
Step By Step
My Edited Result
This is my best photograph because Demi is in black and white, looking dull while Maisie and the background is all on original colour.
This is my worst photograph because Demi had closed her eyes while i took the photo. Also the background looks a lot brighter than Demi's brightness.
SHOOT PLAN 2
I am planing on doing a shoot around substance's. I will have lines of cocaine (flour or icing sugar) with a book and word's underneath saying "the only lines you should know" I want to highlight that student's should be concentrating on learning and be avoiding drug's. I will get a person to lay in the background (blurred out) to make it look like they are confused and struggling to make the right decision.
What went well. The angles that I took during this shoot were OK. What didn't go well. The lines of cocaine didn't go well due to the icing sugar and the lines on the paper are not visible to the camera.
SHOOT PLAN 3
My Inspiration Photo
I am planing on doing a shoot around Domestic Abuse. I will have someone that looks like they have been abused and they will have their hands over their mouth. I will also take another photo with the person with their hands on their ears and just import the hands.
My Result
This is my best photograph because its in focus, it has the perfect ISO, tayah is looking at the camera and the hands are in the correct places
This is my worst photograph because the exposure was over exposed and you could barley see the whole point of why the photograph was being taken.
SHOOT PLAN 4
I am planning on doing a shoot around Alcohol Abuse similar to the ones below. I think these are really effective because it shows a clear message. I will have a person sat facing the camera with a empty bottle of alcohol on the table laying down an spilling "alcohol" (water) while they have their head on the table. I want to make the person in the background blurry (depth of field) so that the alcohol is the main focus point. I will do a mixture of black and white as well as colour.
This is my worst photograph because the exposure was a bit over exposed and you could just about see the whole story of why the photograph was being taken and what it represents.
